Orthodontic treatment was undertaken with conventional fixed appliance in upper dental arch and extraction of upper first premolars. The extraction spaces were used for labial segment retraction. At the end of the orthodontic treatment all the extraction spaces were closed, normal values of overjet and overbite obtained, as well as better soft tissue profile.
With stable static and functional occlusion , the next step was the non-vital tooth 21 restoration with all ceramic crown (Creation ZI-CT), which is esthetically superior to other treatment modalities. The proper tooth preparation and sufficient thickness of the restoration were needed , since the colour of the non-vital tooth was darker than the colour of adjacent teeth.
The silicone index, fabricated on the wax up, was used for the full control over preparation. The final restoration (Creation ZI-CT) made by DT Aleksandra Tomasevic was cemented with GC FujiCEM Evolve resin-reinforced glass ionomer cement.
